2010 Christmas Card Collection

These were the Christmas cards I made for my friends and family this year.  I'm very much still a beginner, but hopefully, as you scroll down, they start getting better...

The snowman was the first image I colored using my Copic markers.  I love the way the colors look.  As you can tell, I'm still struggling to learn the technique of blending the colors.

This next card was made using a template made by Kristina with KWernerDesign.  You can see her card and also get the file here.

My dear husband actually helped me plan this card out.  He gave me the idea to have the leg bitten off...  Which turned out so cute!

I scrap-lifted this penguin card; everything except for a few dimensions and the sentiment from Momo at Made by Momo.  You can see her video here.

This is another image colored with my Copics, I'm starting to get the hang of it...

Okay, I colored this C.C. Designs Heidi Swiss Pixies stamp using my Copic markers and I think I need to take some lessons.  The card turned out great, but the coloring could be a lot better...

This is an original card made by my little Abby!  She loves to craft with her mommy...  Didn't she do a fantastic job???

I hope you enjoyed looking.  Please comment; I could use any suggestions I can get.  Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Cards

Since I've started crafting, I've had a chance to make a few birthday cards.  I hope the recipients likes them...  The first one is for my boss.  He's an animal lover and he especially has a soft spot for dogs.

These next two were made for little girls who were also sisters, one was turning 5 and the other 7.  So, I had to make sure both the cards were some what similar.

The last birthday card was also for a little girl.  I realize most recipients don't really care about what the cards looks like and only want to open gifts...  but I can't help to make it as special and girly as I can...

I hoped you enjoyed these birthday cards as much as I enjoyed making them.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by!

Congrats Owl!

My first official card; made with my brand new Cricut Expression! Yay!  One of my oldest friends just had a sweet baby girl.  So, I decided to make her a few things.  I used the Create-A-Critter cartridge for the owl; love me some cute owls...

Also made her some wood letters spelling "LIN".  Since I wasn't sure what the color scheme was to be for the new arrival, I went with a neutral palette.

Boo! Halloween Treat Bags

My lastest craft project! Little gift bags with treats for Abby's class! So yummy cute!  Got this idea from Angie aka My Chic' n Scratch.  Check her out, she's awesome!   http://www.mychicnscratch.com/2010/08/12-weeks-of-halloween.html

Rainbow Pom Pom Scarf

I just decided to do a little crocheting... Thanks to "Beth" who taught me how years ago, I picked it back up; was just like riding a bike! The scarf was initially meant for Abby, but I think I made it too long... might have done that on purpose... LOL

Pumpkin

Okay... I have a new found respect for those who machine embroider! Not those who use embroidery machines, but those who embroider with a regular sewing machine. It's a lot harder than they make it look...  I think the shirt turned out sooo cute!

Witches Boot

Giving my go at some machine appliqueing; with my Singer I've had, but only used to mend or hem clothes... Kinda addictive!!!  It's not perfect, but that's what makes it special!

My Lil' Piece of Heaven...

Okay, doesn't look like much, but it's my lil' piece of heaven!

I'm not sure how it happened...  One day I found myself at Michaels and just went crazy.  I started accumulating everything from adhesives to yarn.  In the beginning I didn't have anywhere specifically to craft; I would find myself on the floor in the living room or bedroom.  Eventually, I talked my husband into converting our spare bedroom into a spare bedroom/craft space.  I love my craft space but I am quickly out growing it.  Since this picture was taken, I have purchased two more Jetmax cubes and I still need more.  I think it's time to move... ;)
